Hi guys, new to this fourm. Seen it and just had to make an account!

Anyway, I recently have been given a computer -(I'm generally a XBONE player)- and I want to start gaming on it. It's also nearly christmas so dont worry about telling me to upgrade, I have a job, money on christmas.

These are what I have:

GFX card: GeForce GTX 550 ti (may need to mupgrade)
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-6300 six core processor - speed = 3.5GHZ
RAM: 8 gig (8.2 to be precise but 200 meg dedicated to the OS)
OS: Windows 8 Professional (build 9200) - 64 bit
Free disk space: 930.1 gig

Now, if you guys could tell me what would be good to invest money in it'd be highly appreciated. It's easy, the frame of my PC will easily open and components easy to withdraw so dont worry about fuss, I'll handle that.

Cheers guys,

Ollie (afatpigeon)

Solution
CPU is fine.
RAM is fine
OS is fine
HDD is fine

GPU SUCKS!! im sorry but you really do need to upgrade it. THE GPU WILL BOTTLENECK THE CPU!!

What I suggest for GPU is Either GTX970 or AMD Radeon R9 270X GPU.

everything is fine but GPU.

Use your money on better graphics card and better powersupply. (I suggest EVGA SuperNOVA G2 Series PSU)

Good luck!

I would upgrade to a better video card. That cpu is not horrible but will bottleneck cards like a gtx 980 2905x2 etc, I think somthing like a gtx 760,280x would be a good upgrade for you.
