I have recently installed Ubuntu duel booted with windows 8. On Ubuntu i cant get my internet to work. I have a wireless card and it works on windows but on Ubuntu it cant connect. it can detect and list the WiFi correctly but when i try to connect it just loads for a bit and stops like nothing happened. Help?

What kind of card is this? PCI or USB?
If it is PCI tell me if it shows up on lspci, if it is USB tell me if it shows up on lsusb.
Also show the output of ifconfig.
