So this is my first time having to do anything with overclocking. I have a Gigabyte gtx 970 (core: 1178mhz, boost:1329mhz). I would like to overclock my graphics card to 1500mhz for gaming. Would I need more fans to keep it cool? How high do you think the temperatures would get? Also my room is usually cold because I'm not too fond of heat. Would that help at all with the temperatures? I'm just worried I might screw up with something so I want to make sure I get it right the first time around.

i wouldnt jump so high so fast. one issue that these cards have is heat. my rule of thumb, which may be different for other people, is to start slow and gradually go up. going "balls to the wall" like this will have a good chance at damaging something if you dont do it right.

also, for gaming, OCing this card isnt necessary.
