which 2TB external HDD SHOULD I BUY ?

They are fine, but *no* USB hard drive is reliable enough to meet your expectations. You should also back the data up to DVDs and put them in a safe place, like a safety deposit box. Another consideration would be to use a cloud account at a trusted site that has adequate security. If you only use a hard drive, eventually you will have problems and lose the data. Just look at the storage forums for people looking to recover data.
