Specs:

Graphics: GTX 650ti
Memory: 6GB of RAM, 3 2GB chips, unknown make or model
Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 SKT-AM3+
CPU: AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor 4.0Ghz
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
PSU: Corsair 1200W

Problem: I was having an issue where, after a while of being on, or while playing Smite, the backplate on the motherboard would act up. The audio would distort and go, the keyboard would stop working but the mouse, on the front ports, would work fine. I had thought that I had fixed it by lowering the settings and assumed it was a lack of memory because it then stopped crashing. However, a day or two later I was watching netflix when it happened again, now within seconds of when I start up my computer I hear random sounds before the screen freezes then the whole computer crashes. Does anyone know what to do? My current plan is to go through and rewire my whole pc to see if that helps.

Thanks!

Solution
Rewiring things won't do anything. IF the wiring was wrong the computer would not even power on.

Sounds like it could be RAM. Run memtest for 6 passes. This is done by booting to a DVD or USB with memtest on it so you don;t have to actually access windows.
