Hi guys

I've just installed a new 970 into my PC, and I've noticed that some of my games are crashing to black screen with sound loops. After a few restarts, and a reset while the American Megatrends thing was looking for SATA 3G devices, my primary SSD shows up in explorer and the BIOS but cannot detect my secondary HDD.

It's quite unlikely that it failed, as its only a few years old and I've resetted before. I could be wrong though.

thanks for any answers you may have

Drives fail all the time, they are the highest point of failure in a PC. Have you tried switching SATA ports? Another SATA cable? Can you see it in windows disk manager? (Run line type diskmgmt.msc). If you try all that and can't get it to work drive is dead unfortunately.
