AMD GPU Issue - Noisy fan and weird temperature reading

Hi all,

My AMD 6950 has just started becoming really noisy i.e. sounds like its under intensive load when PC is idling. When I run HW Monitor it displays that the GPU temperature is -127 C. Is it likely that my GPU is dying?

I am not getting any graphic anomalies at the moment.

Your thoughts appreciated.

Hi Robert,

MSI afterburner shows the same reading.

The fans are constantly sounding like they are at full speed from the moment I turn the PC on, extremely noisy.

I have run 3DMark - Sky Diver with no issues and a result of over 60fps. Run Prime95 stress test for 6 hours no issues reported.
Have yet to run memtest which I am about to do and will add the results later.
