Ok so today after getting home from work I decided to download the new amd omega drivers for my asus r9 290, after doing so, it downloaded a new app named amd gaming evolved. Now after it did all that downloaded the drivers and such it says your system needs to restart in order to apply the new changes, it does that but once it reboots it says that new drivers are available, they are the exact same drivers I just downloaded. I don't know where the new recently downloaded drivers went. I did that about 3 times already and same thing keeps happening. My current drivers are: atiumdag 14.501.1003.0/ win7 64. On the game evolved app it says there was an error detecting your video card. but according to GPU-Z it's there. It won't even let me log in to battlenet to play wow, right before it logs me in a little window pops up that says: Failed to create a graphics context., says to check that my graphics drivers are up to date. Any help or tips how to fix this will be appreciated. Thank you.

I will try that tonight, thanks. If that doesn't help, I would like to just do a complete wipe of my ssd and install a fresh new windows 8 (currently using windows 7) I have a new copy of 8. How does one erase everything from ssd?

If its for personal use, just pop in the disc, go through the install to the part where it says "Where do you want to install", highlight the SSD and go delete, should "wipe" it and install windows 8 over it.

Sounds easy enough, thank you. That will erase everything, correct? All the old gpu drivers and my personal data which i really don't care about that. I just want a complete fresh install.

Pretty much, the second you pop in a Windows disk, load it, go to advanced install options instead of "Upgrade" it pretty much wipes everything on the disk your installing it to and installs a clean copy of windows.

For the most part, once you install, run windows updates, do all that, reset, run the check again to make sure nothing was missed. You'll probably get the update for windows 8.1 in there or you have to manually get it from the Windows Store app. Otherwise if its a Windows 8.1 disc, disregard this last part.
