Need a PSU to match my new graphics card.

Hello all,

I plan on getting a GTX 970 at some point and I am aware that my current PSU, a discontinued coolermaster, has a maximum power output of 500W. The minimum requirement of the 970 is also 500W.

I don't want to intentionally overclock, though I'm not sure if playing games on highest settings counts as that.

I would like some expert recommendations on what PSU I should be getting to match this card.

My current build:

Mboard - Asus PB75-M
Cooler - Regular case fans, one in front one in back.
cpu - Intel Core i7 3770 @3.4GHz
Memory - 2 X 4 GB, not sure of brand
Storage - 1TB HDD, not sure of brand
GPU - GTX 970 (to replace my GTX 650)
PSU - Coolermaster 500W, discontinued.

Thanks in advance for any help!

They would work but 650w is kinda overkill for a single 970(170w under full load). That entire system won't even pull 300w under full load.

Seeing as I'm spending around £270 on the card, I'm not looking to spend much more else than, say, £40 maybe?

I'm not hugely familiar with the hardware scene to be honest, so I have little knowledge on the value of most components, PSUs least of all. Educate me :D

EDIT:
Hmm, that seems like good value compared to what I've spent the past 20 mins looking at.
I don't have any plans for intentional overclocking so I don't really want to spend more than I have to here.
