Hello
This will be my first post on tom's hardware.I allways try to find other topics related, but i could not find the solution to my problem here.

SPECS:
CASE: Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus Midi Tower
MOBO: ASUS SABERTOOTH p67
CPU: i7 2600k
RAM: Corcair vengance 8gb total, 2 slots in use.
Power supply:Chieftec Nitro Series BPS-950C 950W PSU
Video card: Gainward geforce 580
hardrives: Western Digital Caviar® Green? 1TB and Western Digital Caviar GP 500GB SATA2, (its old)
SSD:Corsair SSD Force Series F40A, 40GB (the issue. Win 7 home premium installed)

Onto the issue:
Last night windows installed some updates, like close to 50, I went away for abit while the pc was rebooting after installing. when i came back the pc was stuck on BIOS LOGO.
Ive went through many solved topics here on tomshardware:
Ive booted the pc with only essenstials connected to the mobo, and it works fine. I can get into BIOS. tested ram for fault, and cpu. power supply also seems fine.
Next: i connected my 1tb harddrive, no problems detected. Able to get into bios.
Next: Connected my old 500gb drive, pc booted fine, and got into bios.
Lastly: connected my 40gb ssd drive to with windows on. stuck on the logo screen with press del to enter bios.
Tried to change the position on the ssd sata, sometimes the mobo detects it, but in some ports it doesn't. N matter which port i try i keep getting stuck on the logo screen for the MOBO.. and i realized I cant format the drive since i cant get past that screen and reinstall windows..

Thus i tried to boot the pc with my 1tb and 500gb and install windows on them, but appearently the usb with windows on is missing a driver.

Alot going on, but the issue seems to be fixated on my SSD. Any help with understanding the issue, is much obliged. Thanks in advance. Also my english grammar is poor.

Thanks for a quick reply.
I dont have another computer here at the moment, ill be able to try it, in a week or so. the ssd is a couple of years old, and i got a feeling that during the update installation it went out of space. Because i had issues earlier this fall with updating drivers, since it is only 40gb.

Also I noticed that the LED_sata device is glowing and according to the manual, it means there is a problem with the hard drive.
I will get back to you when ive tried to install windows on one of the other hard drives. THANKS ALOT :)

EDIT: the thing is that the computer recognizes the SSD in some of the ports but not all of them, but it does not matter if it gets detected or not, since im only unable to get into bios when that ssd is connected in the first place.

I am actually having the exact same problem on my ASUS P8 P67PRO board - it's stuck on logo (with press del to enter bios at the bottom), and this just happened when I changed/upgraded my video card.

I also notice that the "HD LED" is stuck red; and when referring to the manual this means that there is a problem with the HD.

However, I tried the HD in another PC and it worked fine, and I also tried switching the SATA cables, switching where I plug the SATA cable into, and even changing the entire power supply, and switching around the power cables going to the HD.

I've tried benching it, leaving only the basics in, and no luck - and this is becoming really frustrating :( ... someone please help, any suggestions would mean a lot!!
