There are no Sockets on my Motherboard for Some of the Cables on my Power Supply

I recently ordered some parts to build my first computer. The current specs:

AMD-FX 6300
ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 2GB WINDFORCE Video Card
Corsair SPEC-01 RED ATX Mid Tower Case
EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

The parts came in and I was putting them together, I already have the Motherboard in the case, as well as the power supply, but I came across an issue, which I have tried for over 2 hours to try and figure out. I can't find any sockets that match some of the cables from the power supply.l put it on hold, so that I don't break anything.
Has anyone had this problem? I need help badly! Should I get a different power supply? A different motherboard? Thanks!

Solution
There are only two cables on the PSU that need to go to the mobo - the 24-pin ATX connector and the 8-pin CPU power connector.

Otherwise, the remaining plugs are for the ancillary devices (HDD/SSD, CD/DVD, etc).

Okay, that makes more sense now. I got the two cables into the motherboard, thanks very much. I'll check for the HDD, and Optical drive I have in. I haven't put in my GPU, and my CPU yet, does anything have to be plugged into those from the power supply?

I already posted them but here they are again, if you hadn't seen them AMD-FX 6300
ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 2GB WINDFORCE Video Card
Corsair SPEC-01 RED ATX Mid Tower Case
EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

I found the extra 6-8 pin connector. It's labeled PCI-E, so I'm guessing that's for the GPU if it requires it. then the other cables, I had are now plugged into the ODD, and the HDD. So that leave's me with 1 more cable that I have no idea what it does. The connectors have four circular opening in them for what looks like prongs to be plugged into.
