Guys im thinking of buying an amd r7 250 or r7 250x and I wanted to know if my present psu is enough for the card. My specs
intel core i3 3220
digilite h61 motherboard
2gb x1 strontium 1333 ram
My psu is frontech 450w with 19 amps on d 12v rail. Is it sufficient to power the amd r7 250 or r7 250x?

Should do fine. The rest of your PC is not very demanding, so I'd say that it probably only eats up about 150W at full steam (that is, the fans, the hard drives, motherboard functions, RAM, CPU) cumulatively. The R7 250X, the higher-performing and therefore more power hungry of the two has a TDP (basically max power usage) of 95W. You'll have a buffer of about 200W. That's a great thing to have to level power supply aging and power spikes.

Should probably get at least another 2GB of RAM though. 8GB would be great.

Frontech is not even listed on http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html. You should get a psu friom tiers 1, 2a or 2b.

For a r7 250x you need at least 430W to run the PC. eg Seasonic 520, XFX 550 or Antec HCG 520
