Hello, I am having an issue with a new graphics card.

I have upgraded my graphics card from a 560ti to a 970 along with a PSU upgrade from an OCZ 500W to a Corsair CX750.

My issue is when I installed the new PSU and graphics card, my PC will not show any signs of power other than a white LED on the graphics card, it will not power up at all.

I tried my old graphics card with my new PSU and that works perfectly, so the PSU isn't faulty.

I then tried my old PSU with my new graphics card, the system boots up and the graphics card fans spin for a few seconds then stop, I'm guessing the 500W PSU cant handle it, but the pc does switch on, I just don't get any display on my monitor.

The next thing I tried is the new PSU with no graphics card whatsoever, system boots up fine but obviously no display.

I'm confused as the new PSU works with the old card, the old PSU works with the new card, but I get no display.

Anyone able to shed some light on this?

Return your 970 to Newegg/Amazon before it's too late. It's definitely defective if you're experiencing these sorts of issues.

A 500W PSU can handle a 970 with no sweat. The power delivery on your card is most likely screwed up. Although the only thing I could think of to try that might help is if your card has a dual bios, you can set the switch to the other position and try to boot up from it. If you don't have one or it doesn't work then definitely return it.
