my usb needs to format before using it.. but the problem is i have very important word documents there.. how can i fix it?

Oh dear, yet another person who used a pen drive to save important files on and didn't back them up to something more reliable like a hard drive or optical discs. Your pen drive is corrupt - Windows won't be able to format it anyway even if you wanted it to. In truth you may as well throw it away and buy a new one - only next time don't save important files on it which aren't backed up!
