I need to expand my storage for music, picture, and HD video files. My primary is a 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD that I plan to upgrade to a SSD in the future. I'd like to to install secondary storage to house my files and play HD video from. Will the WD Green at 5900 rpm kill video playback performance?

Thanks for any help.

Hey Steve-0. As @manez mentioned, you have nothing to worry about. The WD Green drive's purpose is indeed secondary storage and you get good performance from then, while running cool and quiet. You won't have any problems watching full HD videos loaded from a WD Green drive.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
