what motherboard should i go for

(for gaming with gtx970 + i7 4790k)

i thik the asus is the best but im not sure because i saw it has no displayport unlike the gigabyte motherboard
what does the displayport in the motherboard ment for ? (because i think the gpu in connectred to the montior or am i wrong)

Get the cheapest one, they're all good performance/ quality wise. Displayport is used by some monitors, it's a video connection port when using integrated graphics. With a GPU, you don't require MoBo video ports.

The video ports on motherboards connect to the CPU's integrated graphics. If you're going to use a dedicated graphics card such as your mentioned GTX 970, then those ports won't matter.

You'll just have to connect the wire from your GPU's ports to the monitor's
