I assume you updated to latest drivers and DirectX/VC++ libraries, haven't you?
If you didn't, do it now.

It could also be Optimus messing things up and ignoring your dGPU, while trying to use your iGPU. Make sure the game is set to run with the Nvidia card rather than the integrated Intel.

Last, but not least, make sure your laptop's running in high performance mode under your energy saving settings. You can quickly access such options by the battery icon in your tray bar.

How do I update my VC++ libraries? o_O Is it from the game's folder itself?

Steam should've done that for you automatically, but yes. There's a _CommonRedist folder into the game's installation directory containing what you need.

It's usually better to just download them from Microsoft's website, but for a quick fix they're usually OK.

BTW, by VC++ I mean "Visual C++ Redistributable packages" :p

Yeah, this is frustrating, I wasted my time downloading the game when all it gave me were crashes. Google'd the problem but still no solution -.- sighh

AFAIK your error occurs either with corrupted video drivers (which isn't the case, unless other games have the same issue) or with Optimus messing around.

Please, check again. Go to your Nvidia control panel and open the 3D application settings.
Make sure the list has a record for Advanced Warfare and that it'll use the high performance Nvidia chipset (it MUST be set to that manually, not by automatic detection). Leave all other settings alone.

Try doing a cache integrity check through Steam, otherwise. There's a low probability it'll fix anything in this case, but for the time it takes, it's not wasted anyway.

What's Optimus? :/

It's Nvidia's take at laptop energy saving. AMD has a similar technology called "Enduro".

Long story short, it's an unremovable, not deactivable function that, basing itself on various game data, it decides whether the game should run with the integrated GPU or the discrete one.
This can lead to issues or instabilities with some games which need to get exclusive access to the GPU (like CoD lately).
You can only work your way around it by forcing a game to run with the GPU, and that's done in your video card's control panel.

Unless someone beats me to it, I'll try giving your dmp files a look in a couple hours yeap (I'm at work ATM, I can't see them, nor download 1.32 GB of dumps...).

You say you've managed to play a couple games germs, but that it crashes afterwards, is that correct? Does the game output any dump like yeap does?

How do I get my "Dump File"? :??:

Yeah, I tried underclocking my GPU and it did helped but still, crashes or if Im unlucky, it will crash too after I load into a match.

[strike]I'm assuming he's getting blue screens, unless the game is dumping an error stack somewhere in the installation folder.

Was your GPU overclocked in the first place? Revert to stock clocks, if so. Same goes for CPU.[/strike]

Okay, I'm frustrated by this issue enough (even if I don't have it) to actually start blaming windows, whose 8.1 version seemingly being the only common element. Had a bit of free time on my hands and Googled around.

Just EVERYONE with this issue on any multimedia-related application either stated that they owned w8.1 as their OS, that they were on a laptop (and thus had Nvidia Optimus or AMD Enduro), or both.

Funnily enough, there are no fixes known, but rather only workarounds which involve disabling said technologies when manufacturers allowed to do so (sometimes making the system unstable), overclocking/downclocking the GPU (germs' case), or running the application in compatibility mode for win7 (rarely worked).
Some have also improved their situation with a clean driver reinstall, by first creating a restore point, then using Display Driver Uninstaller to remove all video drivers and finally reinstalling drivers (since you guys are on laptops, you would need to get them from your manufacturers' websites).

Unless someone else wants to share a piece of his mind, I'm terribly sorry, but I'm quite out of ideas :/

Edited previous post, downloaded the dump and, as far as my (very limited) knowledge goes I unfortunately didn't manage to get much out of it.
For what it says to me, it looks like some kind of incompatibility between the game's engine and windows 8.1 (8 supposedly doesn't have this issue); I'm not completely sure of that, but what I'm seeing kinda points there...

I'd be more technical about it, but I'd probably end up confusing you more than you are, so let's keep it down to this.

I've kept digging around, and found out some people stating that Windows 8's Defender is relatively more..."edgy" than Windows 7's revision; I'd honestly take that with a pinch of salt, but just in case you might want to try and add the game's executables to its exceptions. You can do so by going to "Control Panel" -> "Windows Defender" -> "Tools" -> "Options" -> "File and folder exclusions", and add the executables there.
I also assumed from the start you were running as admin, but I'm going to note it now anyway; you are indeed running the game as admin aren't you?

ah man, it's fine, at least I did managed to fix mine which is the main focus of this thread and no, I was wrong on my post about the fix, I did not Overclock my GPU, I underclock my "Memory Clock" of my GPU and it's all fixed! I managed to play Dragon Age: Inquisition, COD:AW and even BF4 without a single crash so far :D

@Yeap: I suggest your to try my method and see if it works :)

Hi again
I really appreciate ur effort going tru my dump file. And yes i did everything u said but still crashes.i did run as admin and put my games as exception in my firewall.

Germs, i tried to do some underclocking/overclocking using MSi Afterburner, but not too sure how do i do that. Is there any step by step guide? Will my system goes haywire if i do that?

It's just straight forward. Just open the MSI afterburner and just reduce the "Memory Clock" to a specific point, in my case -290. Tho it not might be -290 on your case, you can try -50 first and open up the game, if it still crashes, maybe reduce it again to -60 or -100, until you reach -290. You should try this! I've been having this error since Battlefield 4 which is from last year which is a year! and now it's fixed! So far so good :D

It is safe to underclock your GPU's memory clock :)
