I recently updated my pc to pro from standard, now it says that i need to re-activate it every time i boot up. Is there anyone that can provide me with a windows 8 (non-pro) iso?
I need it for two things:
-Make a clean install on my pc
-be able to activate it legally

--------------------------------------
From what Microsoft says it is legal to share windows OS iso, just as long as you both use your individual serial keys. so please share a link or something to a legit copy of win 8 (non-pro) iso.

It came with the pc pre-installed back in 2012 Dec, i want to get rid of all slowness on my pc because i have just used "samsung recovery" that came with the pc pre-installed.

OK. The above linked thing from MS will not work with a preinstalled OS.

You want to go back to regular Windows 8, right?
When you 'upgraded' to Win 8 Pro, did you wipe out the original Recovery partition?

I don't think so, i "think" my recovery is on another drive that's hidden for security reasons. how i know that? well i used to dual boot my pc with linux mint and in the linux explorer there was 3 additional drives:
-SAMSUNG_REC
-SAMSUNG_REC2
-WINDOWS_8 (nameless)

Partitions, not 'drives'. Look through your documentation, and see what keypress invokes that Recovery function. That should bring it back to exactly how it came from the store. (Wiping out anything and everything on it)

How did you upgrade to Pro? typically you can do an anytime upgrade where you connect with MS and they give a new key code. When you buy a machine with Windows all version are installed on your machine. The key you use unlocks all the features of that specific version. So to upgrade you purchase the code from MS and enter it and the new version is setup.

That's the samsung recovery tool, but does it really perform a "clean" install on the pc?

If it is the Factory reset function, yes. Wipes everything. Brings back the OS, and all the crapware it came with initially.

Is that my only choice?

Then I'll go with the win 8 alternative and then update it to 8.1.

For a full, clean, legal install, that is the best option.

I have on, final question. Can i dual boot it with windows 7 professional?
It is a 1TB HDD i was thinking about 100GB for windows 8 and 900GB for windows 7.
As you already know windows 8 came pre-installed but i have a windows 7 pro disc with serial and all that.
Windows 8 is installed before windows 7 is so will that corrupt my win8 bootmenu/loader?
