Running windows 7 on my first hdd, I got into disk management and deleted my secondary hdd (running linux mint), I was just trying to format it so I could install Windows 7 onto it (Don't ask why...), and now I can't find it at all. When I boot from the secondary drive, it still goes into the gnu grub, and because I don't know my password, I can't do much.

There's only one thing to do and that is brain surgery i'm afraid maybe even a transplant!

Just go to device manager right click any of the items and click scan for new hardware it should find the drive!

Or just try going into bios and it will be there and choose boot from that hdd and have the disk in your drive. You don't have to format it in windows anyway the install gives you the choice to format. If it sill boots to the secondary just have the disk in your drive unplug the other hdd and boot to disk and press any key to continue! When someone comes to me with a "forgotten password" i just re install windows and format it during installation!
