I am ready to submit my first build, but I first wanted to check if there were any significant bottle necks in my build. I need this for light bioinformatic work away from a supercomputer, and I play shooting games casually. I'd prefer to drop my build's total price by a $100, but I'm more concerned if my case and fan are appropriate for what I have. Thanks for your advice!

First thing I would change is the CPU to a Xeon 1231v3. It is cheaper, runs just as fast. It just lack IGP, that you do not need. You want a Z97 board, if you want to SLI, otherwise H97 is fine. Power supply isn't very good. $2 more you can get a far better one. Also you can get a faster R9 290, for the price of that 770. Would need a bigger PSU, if ever want to run dual gpu, regardless of GPU.
