I bought a PC around 6 months ago, and it had, as in the title, an ati radeon hd 5450, I used this card for around a month, then one day, when I turned the pc on, nothing came up, so I left it for about 30 mins, still nothing. I looked in the Device Manager, and it wasn't in the PCI slot index. I also looked in the bios, but nothing there. Any ideas?

As to the problem, have you removed the card and reseated it? If that doesn't work, it's likely the card has failed totally if it isn't seen in either BIOS or Device Manager. Are you sure BIOS isn't set only to use the onboard graphics facility?

if your hd 5450 broke well thats because its not a very good graphics card and if you were gaming on it its probally fried , get a decent card i mean that hd 5450 is worse than a 9800gt sooo yea time for an upgrade i think if you are on budget for gaming get the gtx 650ti
