Alright so the last couple days my computer has been randomly restarting until yesterday when it turned off and did not turn back on. Now the case fans turn on, the psu fan turns on, the hard drive turns on and the disk drive all turn on but nothing else. No display, no cpu fan, no gpu fans. Today I tried unplugging the sata cords and restarting and that seemed to get it working until it restarted and shut off again. I tried unplugging my sata cords once again but this time only the case fans and other parts turned back on again. Now everyonce and a while my computer works and then sometimes it doesn't. Also, when I do get it running, my motherboard doesn't seem to be recognizing my ssd now. I monitor my gpu temperature and before it restarted it was still below 60c.

Here are the specs for my computer:
about 1 and a half years old
ASRock Z75 Pro3
i3-3220
WD 500gb
Samsung 128gb SSD
asus gtx660
corsair cx600 psu
8gb G. Skill Ripjaws ram

Sorry for the lengthy question but it's an odd description to describe. Every time I think I've found the solution it never quite adds up. Any help would be greatly appreciate. Oh and also I have never done any sort of overclocking on any part of my computer and everything was staying below their max settings when it restarted.

Bad power supply or motherboard. First remove the memory and try it with one stick moving it to each slot, then do the same thing with the other stick.
If you have a power supply you can swap out try that first but I would be thinking motherboard.

It could be a bad power supply or motherboard, did it give any error beeps on startup? Have you tried clearing the CMOS? It basicly resets the proporties of the BIOS back to factory settings, do this by locating the battery on the motherboard, unplug the power first though, remove the battery and hold in the power button for a few seconds to drain all remaining power, after that insert the battery again and power the system up, what happens?

First off thanks for the help. To answer the second question my main monitor is connected to the dvi port on my graphics card and my second monitor is connected straight to the motherboard through the vga port. I'll make sure to try all your solutions as soon as I can and thank you once again.

I tried moving the memory around and that seemed to get the computer running but when i finally went to turn off my computer after about an hour of use it said it had an update to do so it started shutting down, did the update and the monitor shut down along with the mouse and keyboard... but the computer itself kept running. After a while I finally just held down the power button and shut it down that way. Now when I power it back on, it's back to where I started where the case works but the rest doesn't. Also when it was actually turning on completely it took a few attempts for the CPU fan to get going. It would spin a little... stop... spin a little again... stop... then finally start going.

One more thing to add that I discovered this morning is that my browsers aren't working while things like skype and steam are. And also, my computer seems to be taking a much longer time to shut down than usual. The display, keyboard and mouse shut down but it usually takes another 30 seconds or so to actually shut itself down
