My SSD has around 90gb of storage being used on my 120gb SSD on this directory:
LocalDisk/Users/Nicholas/Appdata/Local/Temp

Any one know how to fix this? It's filled with files even though I installed everything manually to my HDD drive. Please help ASAP

Solution

Go to Control Panel, open System and on the left click on Advanced System Settings. On the windows that opens go to Advanced tab and click on Environment Variables. From there you can change temp directories and other variables.

that path used for storing temporary files..

U can try cleaning the temporary files..

just right click the drive (in win7) and select clean drive..

and follow the step (check the one u wanna clean)

edit : actually u right click the drive, pick properties, and later pick disk clean up

Usually a lot of the files used during program installations keep hogging up your space in the temp folder. You can use CCleaner to scan and remove any unneeded files, it will clean temp, internet cache, cookies etc. You can download it from https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download. Or you can use the Microsoft own disk clean-up, press windows key + R to open run prompt and type cleanmgr and press enter or ok button. On disk clean-up you need to press the clean system files button and it will scan for any windows update etc files that are no longer needed.

Tried all suggested methods. None of them worked. The PC in question has never even been hooked up to the internet if that helps. Using my laptop to write this in case you're wondering how I'm sending if thats the case :D

only old temp file can be deleted (7 days old and more)..

u may wanna setting the page/swap file size to fixed sized or move the page/swap file to HDD..
to save more space...

more extreme way is move infrequent used apps & games to HDD and only leave the
most frequent used on the SSD..

How can I change where the temp files are stored without moving my OS to my other hard drive?
