Problem with the new AMD driver

My brother told me that the driver i'm currently using is not for gaming, and that i needed an AMD one.So yesterday i tried installing the new AMD 14.12 driver, but when i installed it, my screen got blurry and the resolution lowered from 1920x1080 to 1280x720 and i couldn't increase it. When i unistalled the driver and installed it again from the Device Manager, things got fine. And every time when i try to install it again, things get .. I usually play a lot of computer games, and he told me that i needed a new one, and that's why i tried to install the AMD driver, and i think he's right, because i get no more than 20 FPS in ARMA 2, and i've got good specs. Please help.

SPECS:
Win7 x64
4GB RAM
AMD Phenom II X4 840 Processor 3.20 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 5700 series

PS: In games like WarThunder i get 60 FPS no problem, but man ARMA 2 lags like hell

Have you tried using the 14.11 driver? Might be worth a shot, just never know with these things

you just had a driver instalation issue.. no big deal

uninstall the existing AMD driver

use DDU to clean driver leftovers

install the 14.12 drivers

done

anyways there is no improvements for 5700 series gpu.. its too old

improvements are only for r7 , r9 & 7000 series gpu
