Hi All.
I've recently got Myself 2 x MSI GTX970 Gold Editions, and in the same breath got myself a MPOWER MSI z97 M/B with an i7 4790.
My Question is, I still have an i7 3930K with an Intel DX79SR M/B on the x79 Chipset.
I run a 3 Monitor Setup (5760 x 1080) and found that whilst playing Arma 3 on Utlra Settings, that I only average around 33 - 35 FPS.
I saw the 3930K (lga 2011) is a better performing CPU. My question is:
Would it be better to Run of the x79 chipset vs the z97 Chipset, and with the z97 the SLI configuration is only x8 per card. Would it be x16 for both cards in the x79?
