Hi guys im just worry about the temp of my processor intel core i7 4770... my cpu is not overclock but when i play like battefield 4 or watch dog.. i reach 64-65c.. and i use thermaltake 3.0 extreme... i just worry because when you read the spec of core i7 4770 the temp limit is around 70c and i just worry because is the temp of my cpu is near to the limit..

Please guys help me give me a idea..

That is normal or my processor have a problem.. or my cpu cooler is the problem??

Thanks..

Intel's Thermal Specification is "Tcase", which is CPU temperature, not Core Temperature. Tcase for the i7 4770K is 72C. Core temperature is 5C higher than CPU temperature due to sensor location. Tcase + 5 makes the corresponding Core temperature 77C.

Core temperature is Tjunction. TjMax (Tjunction Max) is Throttle temperature, which is 100C for the i7 4770K. At TjMax 100C, Tcase is 95C, which greatly exceeds Intel's Thermal Specification.

Just to keep the facts straight, TjMax is:

Core i 1st Generation 100C
Core i 2nd Generation 98C
Core i 3rd Generation 105C
Core i 4th Generation 100C <---

Oh. Do you think my thermaltake water 3.0 extreme is cooling enought or it better to change in corsiar h100i.. what do think? If still same performance or the corsiar h100i is better..

Thanks CompuTronix for the link, guess I need to revise a few terms.

And everyone who's saying you need a better cooling solution, this is what OP got:

You really still think he should get better cooling for a non-K SKU? Mind well we're not aware of the ambient temps.
