I recently bought a new computer from a provider and have just unboxed it, everything is in order apart from one thing. When I tried to plug my HDMI cable into the graphics card the cable doesn't fit! I'm using the Nvidia GTX 970 4B and just a standard HDMI. It seems that the end of the cable
(the gold bit you stick into the input slot) is bigger than the one on the GTX 970, yet the HDMI cable fits the input on my monitor. Any ideas or direct help appreciated !

That would be a Displayport plug. There should be an HDMI plug on the GTX 970 though. It is similar to HDMI in almost every way but doesn't require the manufacturer to pay royalties and has some advantages in it's implementation. Of course another possibility is mini HDMI plugs.

You can see a picture of the displayport plug on this wiki page.

No. Its not a displayport I think it might be a mini hdmi as on the graphics card it says hdmi next to the port, i will most likely need to get a converter.
