Do you mean a power strip? (surge protector?)

I'd recommend one that offers a protection warranty for what you plug in, if your going to be plugging expensive things into it. This one covers $800,000 worth of damage if it were to short out what you plug in.

You can find cheaper solutions, and if your stuff isn't overly expensive you can just go with a basic power strip.

Cheaper option that covers $250,000 worth of electronics plugged in.

Are you looking for Ethernet wired connections? If so you need to provide info about your environment, i.e., how far is the PC from the modem, how many connections you need, etc.

I figured that out, but what is your environment? You already have a modem and probably a Wi-Fi router connected directly to the modem; is that correct? How far is your PC from the router? Can you run wires through the walls? If not do you have clean AC power, i.e., you live in a relatively recent house with good electrical wiring? If so then consider a power line adapter: http://www.cnet.com/topics/networking/best-networking-devices/power-line-adapters/
