I plan to store my OS and some games on my SSD but I really feel like I should use an HDD for everything else. Pcpartpicker.com doesn't recognize the HDD I plan on getting so I decided to ask here. I'm wondering if this will work with my pc build?

And if you have any other better ideas for a cheaper HDD (less than $100) with at least 1TB of storage please share your opinion.

You want an internal hard drive. WD Blue or Seagate is a good option. http://www.amazon.com/WD-Blue-Desktop-Hard-Drive/dp/B0088PUEPK/

You shouldn't use an external drive for any programs. You can get 2TB or WD Black (better) for under $100.
