Hi guys, I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to knowing what GPU will work with my computer and I am in a hurry. I need to know whether to order this card for my computer in the next 25 mins, and come to a decision before that time.

Motherboard: P8Z77-V LX2
http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/P8Z77V_LX2/specifications/

Expansion slots:
1 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (blue) *1
1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x4 mode, black)
2 x PCIe 2.0 x1
2 x PCI

*1: PCIe 3.0 speed is supported by Intel® 3rd generation Core™ processors.

Graphics card:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-Express-260X-Graphics-GDDR5/dp/B00GI2EZ7I/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1418483067&sr=1-1&keywords=r7+260x

AMD Sapphire R7 260X 2GB GDDR5

Processor: Intel i7 2700k

Since the card is PCIe 3.0, I'm sure that it will fit on one of the expansion slots. However, reading the *1 on the info about my motherboard, it says that the 3.0 is supported by 3rd generation processors. So does this mean that 3.0 won't work with my processor? Will the card still work, at least?

Thanks in advance

Solution
It means the 3.0 slot will run at 2.0 speed and is no big deal at all.
That card your using will not even come close to saturating the 2.0 speed so you will see no performance difference.
