Defective CPU, what should I get instead?

Hi guys, I recently built a pc and it hangs randomly every hour or so. I rma'd everything, except the cpu, because newegg doesn't let you rma a cpu, but with the new stuff it still randomly hangs. Can't render videos because of this at all, sucks!

So I'm thinking I got a defective CPU or maybe I scratched it! I dunno, but $250 down the drain! Sucks so much!

So my question is, what CPU can I get to replace or match the one I had, and that will fit into the mobo?

Also, second question. Could the hang ups be coming from a lower powersupply because of the upgraded GPU? I have either a 500 or 600 Watt power supply. Thanks!

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230V3 Haswell 3.3GHz LGA 1150 80W Server Processor BX80646E31230V3
MOBO: ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-
GPU: EVGA EVGA GeForce GTX 970 ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5 256bit, DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI, DP SLI Ready Graphics Card Graphics Cards 04G-P4-2972-KR

Hello antimatter86,

It's nice that you have built your own PC, but know you got all this problems you need to trouble shoot.

First of all, can you provide ALL of your specs? Like the OS, HDD, PSU and what not. Just giving out in-detail specs for your CPU won't help.
Second, I don't think the CPU is the problem, nor that you should have RMA'd everything without properly troubleshooting your PC.
