Hello

I'm going to build a new PC for my father in the next few days. He doesn't need a lot of CPU or GPU power but the security of his files is very important to him. He will use it mainly for working on documents and mails, but also editing pictures from time to time. I have some knowledge about building PCs but I haven't built a whole PC yet.

Budget: 800-1000$
Location: Switzerland

My preferred websites for buying parts are http://digitec.ch and http://microspot.ch.

I've selected the following parts for him:

Mainboard: AsRock H97M Pro4 mATX
CPU: Intel Core i5 4460
GPU: Asus GT 730
RAM: 2x 4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600
Power Supply: Corsair RM550 80+ Gold
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 256GB
HDD: 2x WD Black 1TB
Case: Fractal ARC Mini R2
OS: Windows 8.1

I would install the OS on the SSD and run both HDDs in a RAID 1.

Please let me know, if those parts are comptible or if you would change something.

This build could support a gpu if modeling / video editing becomes slow.
