Vishera support for dual-rank memory?

I am planning a build with an FX-8320 CPU and ASRock 990FX Killer motherboard. Now the decision is on memory.

I am shopping for a 2 DIMM kit for the dual-channel advantage, but now I need to know if Vishera/990FX supports dual-rank memory, and at what speed? I want either overclockable DDR3-2133 memory or stock DDR3-2400. I have read on this forum that Vishera will underclock memory in quad-channel mode, and I'm wondering if the IMC will see the dual-rank & dual channel as a quad channel and reduce the clock rate, or if it's ok and I will benefit from the dual-rank kit.

I want to get everything I can out of the RAM, as I'll be doing some scientific computing. I'll overclock the CPU to keep up.

In part it will depend on your individual 8350, all are not equal, most can run 2133 some 2400, I've been testing some 32GB sets of 2400, and my 8370 could run all of the sets though some took a slight CPU OC (4.3) and all took a little additional CPU/NB voltage (for your MC (memory controller)...I'd go 2133/9 or 2133/10 the Team Xtreem, GSkill Snipers and Corsair Vengeance Pro are all good sets

Thanks for this, this is quite helpful. I do plan to OC (as high as I can), and right now I'm looking at a 2133/10 16 GB dual-rank 2 DIMM kit. Are the kits you've tested dual rank or single rank, or have you tested both? I want to make sure of that last bit.
