I've gotten a headache while trying to find a way to fix this annoying problem. I went out and bought a Sennheiser G4ME One Headset (Jack) to replace my Logitech g35 (USB) to increase my sound and gaming capabilities.

But I instantly came across the problem as of two things!
1: There isn't enough plugs in the back of the PC which to plug in my headset + my 5.1 Speakers.
2: The Front jacks was a handful, but I believe I got my Mic working, but my audio (headphones) are not working.

I'll show some images to explain!

Above, the image I posted had all of what I know so far. So these are the steps I took for the Mic to work.

Realtek HD Audio Manager, I opened up the Options in the top right (The gear icon) and somewhere I read I had to change it to Ac97 Front Panel, so I did and my mic works now. But I'd prefer HD Audio, but when I do that the mic icon on Recording under Sound goes away and it doesn't work.

So for the second part, I went ahead and changed the "Tie up same type of input jacks" to "Separate all input" to show that the Rear and Front panels are showing up under the same Speakers in sound.

Which I don't understand, because when I plug in my USB Headset *The Logitech G35* It has it's own icon and works just fine.

I'd appreciate the help and I really hope somebody messages me soon about it and can help. I did spend about two hours researching and looking for a fix before coming on here to ask!

Anyways, have a nice day and sorry for the long read!

Confused the hell out of me... but anyways, still the same issue of my Headphones is reading my Speakers output, please help.

I cant see the picture but if i understand correctly you cant hear sounds from both the headphones and the speakers?
If that is your problem and you want them to be played at the same time then you need to mess with playback devices.

(the video in not mine)
at the end you will notice there will be 2 icons inside the "speakers" icon at right bottom, one is the volume of the headset, the other of the speakers.
(I m still using this method, dont know if its the best one, if the mic or the speakers are plugged in and out while the pc is working you might need to redo it)

Some reason the image doesn't show up with img insert...

this is the image, you've got it backwards. I hear it from both the speakers and headset. I want them to be separated if possible. Like my USB Headset, I am able to turn them on and off via the volume control.

did you solve the problem eventually? how come people only write when they need something, and never when the problem is solved, which would be the most interesting part for anyone with similar problems
