My computer had been on for a long time (6+ hours) and I went to load Red Orchestra 2. Just as I did the computer crashed - it wasn't a normal BSOD it just turned off immediately. Personally I suspected a potential overheat (room temp was really cold mind). When I turned it back on all the fans started and the keyboard and mouse lit up but the bios screen wouldn't load and the monitor was just on it's standby blue screen saying no signal detected.

I turned it off and took and the vga cable and reattached it but still no signal was detected. I powered it off and earthed it/myself and then had a look to see if I could see anything immediately wrong with the computer - I couldn't apart from a little bit of dust on the GPU/CPU - could this be the problem. I don't know what to do now, my plan atm pretty much amounts to leaving it for a few days and hoping.

What should I do?

Thanks

Yeah nothing shows up, all the lights/fans of the components and usb's start but the monitor just says it doesn't detect a signal.

I'll try taking the GPU out and putting it back in again

Unplug things from your motherboard and plug it back in. If that doesn't work then try to connect it to a different monitor or if you can use a different cord and monitor. Also check your RAM. My computer was doing the same thing when I first built it and I put the RAM in a different slot and it worked perfectly.
