I am mostly finished building a new computer with a Fractal Design Define R4 with Window Black Pearl S case. There was a strange sound coming from the backmost case fan when the power was on, though, like a constant clicking. I looked up possible solutions, and found only that it might be hitting something. I couldn't find what it was when the power was off, so...stupidly...I tried to find what it was when the power was on. It seems that a single blade of the fan broke off.

The clicking, however, stopped.

So here's my question: How big of a deal is this? Do I need a new case? (Please say no.) Do I need to get a replacement for the fan? Or, since the computer seems to be otherwise fine, and it is no longer making noise, am I just a lucky idiot?

Solution
I'd replace the fan soonest. It is not critical, as in "Die tomorrow", but being unbalanced, it WILL die sooner rather than later.

As a new fan is $10 or so...replace now when it is easy, rather than at the exact wrong time later on.

If you're running your computer fine, then it won't be a big of a deal overall. As for the case, it should largely be fine as well (I reckon a single piece of plastic wouldn't do much damage). The fan would be a different story, if you want optimal cooling, you would want to have that replaced pronto.
