Does it have the right amount of pins

Hi Dimitri926
Corsairs CX psu has low grade capacitors , better to buy quality than throw your money away on a psu that lets you down with low grade capacitors , Poor quality capacitors break down quickly over time resulting in spiky voltage being delivered to the motherboard. This results in motherboard breakdown or poor cpu performance.

A better psu would be any psu from seasonic or xfx or any psu from corsairs tx,hx or ax range of psu's,
they all have high grade japanese capacitors

this at 550watts will give you enough power to drive your 970 with 45A on the single +12v rail

or for some headroom
