Guys my current config is a
i7 3770k, 16gb ram, 650 watts psu

I just sold my gtx 770 2gb to upgrade to a 970 4gb now my reason for doing so was to max out the current games like far cry 4, ac unity as well as the ones which will be coming out in 2015 like gta 5, the division, star wars etc.. now my question is if i buy the 970 4gb will that be enough to maxout these future games on a 1080p display with smaa or so because when i look at the visuals of THE DIVISION.. it just seems beyond the capacity of the 970..

Also i am open to wait till the end of jan 2015 to buy the 970 as i wanted to see how it performs with gta 5.. i was also wondering will there be any new sudden graphic card releases that will render a new 970 use less like during the mid of 2015? so that if i chose to further wait till the mid of 2015 i might be looking at a newly released gtx card and buy that instead? please help..

Well if you can wait, AMD should have their new 300 series GPU's. Rumors have them seriously outperforming nVidia's 900 series. There isn't a release date for them yet.

I think as far as single monitor @ 1080p, you should be alright with a single 970 with most games at max details.

Ya its a good card u can max out most of the demanding cards on single full hd display. But multiple full hd displays may lead decrease in fps but u can play in max setting with playable fps. The gtx 970 and 980 is one of the demanding cards now. if have them in sli then it will suck the juice out of your games

Its ur choice. 970 is awesome and can play todays demanding games. for example- farcry 4 in full hd and in max setting in around 60 fps. U can wait for a new card but definitely to get more performance u should pay more and nvidia releases cards only in 6 months
