hey guys i have the choise of buying a gaming system with a gtx 970 and intel core i7-4790k or getting a gaming laptop (G751JY-T7037H) with a gtx 980m and an Intel Core i7-4860HQ, which do you guys think is better to buy considering all the pros and cons of both systems?

Well it's pretty obvious the desktop is going to be more powerful. It's also got an upgrade path which the laptop won't have.
However a desktop isn't portable. So you have to weigh the importance of being able to game on the go versus to the two pro's for the desktop. If you are on the go lots and you would like to game while on the road, then the laptop may be worth getting. If you aren't on the road lots or you are but have no time for gaming when you are on the road, then the desktop is probably what I'd choose.
Personally I'm a desktop gamer. Too many compromises gaming on a laptop. Small screen, small keyboard, chiclet style keys (which I don't like), heat can be an issue. The screen and keyboard issue can be eliminated by having externals, but then you negate portability somewhat if you have to carry those around too.

The GTX 980 desktop performance better than the 980m, if you are married or need to stay home then a desktop is ideal, but if you are students or young gamers and need to move around, then laptop is the best choice, heat is no longer a problem for the gaming laptop as they have dual copper fans and even three fans, many laptops offer SLI option, get a GTX980M SLI and it will maxed out all of your games very easily. No really needs to get a desktop
