Hi,

I heard the fan long along ago when my pc was off. I looked inside to see that the fan of my evga gtx 660 was still running. It not going fast, but it's still on. At first I thought it could because I had put my PC to sleep, but when I completely shut the pc it didnt stop.

Any idea?

Well, first of all, I meant to say, "NOT a long ago" instead of "long along ago"...

I have recently plugged in a HDMI extender to be able to play PC game in my living room. So I had a thought yesterday. When the PC was in sleep mode, I unplugged the HDMI and the fan of my graphic card (GTX660) just stopped. I plugged it back in and the fan stayed off. This is only a temporary solution. I don't want to unplug and replug it everytimes, HDMI cables and connectors arent that tough. I guess the extender is draining some power from the hdmi and that would be why the card is still on.

the HDMI extender looks like this one http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_4523.html but the Brand is OMEGA.

I guess I'll have to look into the BIOS settings to see if it can kill the graphic card when the pc is in sleep mode or completly off. Maybe somewhere in the graphic card setting too. Any specific idea?
