i have:

Processor: AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-core processor
Installed memory (ram): 8GB
system type: 64-bit windows 7
video card: gigabyte r9 290 4096mb

It freezes around 10 min into most games for most of the games i play on the recommended setting witch is on ultra. now i think it might have something to do with my motherboard because it has a red light blink on and then off next to the ram when i turn the PC on. and I've checked the ram and there running OK it seems. I'm just wondering should i get more ram or should i replace the motherboard which i bought this summer? i just want to play my games on ultra settings without it freezing up lol so any suggestions lol? i am under warranty for the motherboard so i can replace it for free.

Thanks,

sounds like a video card problem. Your CPU is bottle necking your graphics card, in other words your CPU is not powerful enough to work with that GPU. try lowering your graphic settings ingame. if it does not freeze then the CPU is bottle necking your card. if it still freezes try updating your video drivers
