My laptop doesn't detect wireless networks .
The dc jack of the laptop (Asus K53S) has been broken ... and when i got it fixed the laptop stopped detecting wireless networks .
It shows " no connections available " . However when i plug it to the router by cable , the laptop detect the wireless network of which i use the router to expand it's signal . but when i get away from the router(like 5 meters ) , the laptop doesn't detect the network any more ! .
I have tried everything i came across ,and nothing is working . How could i make the laptop detect this network properly and other networks ?
I uninstalled the adapter (Atheros AR9002WB-1NG Wireless Network Adapter) and reinstalled it again , and updated it but with no effect . I restored the system to an early restore point but nothing happened .
Could it be a hardware problem and not a software ? Any help would be appreciated .
Thank you .
