My windows 7 pc was going thru an update and the power went off... now it repeatidly crashes, ive tried the F8 repair, safemode, system restores but it keeps just restarting and flashing a millisecond worth of bluescreen before rebooting. The most it will do is durring repair, it will go to a monochromatic screen with a moving mouse and the default background. I am unable to find a windows 7 boot disk to download and do not have one that i had made myself. Im on an old laptop running Vista. any ideas on what i can do to troubleshoot now?

Download the same Windows 7 SP1 ISO image as the version on your computer from Digital River, burn it to a DVD, then do a repair installation like THIS.

That will replace your Windows 7 installation, but save all your programs and data. You will have to reinstall all Windows updates since SP1.

Consider buying a UPS to avoid such situations.
