My laptop is an Lenovo B590 MBT3LMH, there is no ssd in it. i guess there is a 500GB 5400RPM hard drive in it.

My pc has an WD 10 Blue ezex and it boots way slower on a fresh windows. than my laptop.

Why is that ? and how can i make my pc boot also so fast ?

I'm betting it's been a lot longer since Windows was installed on the desktop than on the laptop. Unfortunately, Windows just seems to build up cruft in its bootup sequence with age. The SSD laptop I bought in 2010 booted up in just 15 seconds. 25 seconds after I installed all my apps. When I retired it last month, it took 90 seconds to boot. On a SSD. I wiped it and reinstalled after I retired it, and it boots in 15 seconds again.

I've tried all sorts of cleanup tools, removed automatic startup programs like Adobe's updater, etc. They help a little, but nothing as good as a full wipe and reinstall. I've just accepted that Windows needs to be wiped and reinstalled every 2-3 years if you want to maintain performance.

There was a nice boot optimization tool for XP that really worked (cut my XP boot times in half). But I haven't found anything as effective for Win 7/8. The most effective I tried was Soluto, though it wants to hang around afterward and report how you use the computer to Soluto.

I've heard of a Microsoft tool for analyzing boot times, but haven't had a chance to try it myself.
