Since I first got this laptop I have been occasionally annoyed by a graphical issue. The issue has persisted even after upgrading from a A6 apu to a A10. A has been unaffected by OS reinstalls and various drivers. The issue also does not appear on external monitors, only the built in display is affected. The problem itself is that at the top of the display 4 lines of pixels flicker. I am worried now because it used to be only 2 lines of pixels affected. That wasn't very noticeable. I now know that the problem is progressing.

So has anyone here seen and fixed this issue, and is this something I could call Lenovo on since it is still in warranty?

Here is a video of exactly what is happening.

Solution
YES its a hardware problem. Send it in for warranty before your warranty expires.

It may be a faulty inverter (what powers the LCD) or even cable.

I feel like replacing your cpu may have voided your warranty though.... You may want to replace the original cpu in the laptop.

I thought is was hardware. I am going to call tomorrow. I still have the original Apu, so if I need to I can put that back in. Thanks for confirming my doubts.
