Hey guys!

So lately I've been experiencing some problems with my gaming PC, I've had it for about a year now and never had any issues until october.

Everything started one day, I was playing a game and the computer shut off on me, then kept on trying to boot, but it would stop after a second, then try again, then stop; and it would do this over and over until I disconnected the power cable and re-adjust my PSU cables, ram, graphics card, etc.

I thought everything was fine but the very next week it shut down on me again, while I was watching youtube videos ._. then I did the same thing, unplugging-plugging stuff here and there, and it would boot.
Sometimes I would leave it turned off after a night of gaming, when I woke up, pressed the power button and it would try to boot but shut down over and over, doing the exact same thing again x_x - so I decided to clean it completely.

Out of nowhere it stopped doing this for a while... I thought it was cool, then boom, it shut down on me, but this time.. it did 5 short beeps, and would actually boot but without showing any image on my monitor.
I googled it, some people said it was processor failure, others said it was the graphics card, so I cleaned my graphics card with a brand new eraser then I cleaned my processor, re-applied thermal paste and everything two nights ago. It seemed to be fixed, but it happened again this morning :(
It honestly starts working after i re-adjust the PSU cables and the Graphics card cables too lol, and the cables are not worn or anything.. so I have no idea ._.

I'm at the point where I am about to take it to a repair center so they could check it out, but I want to get there with some knowledge of what could be going on, 'cause I don't want to get ripped off by them saying it's something else lol. (I don't live in the States by the way, I'm from the Dominican Republic)

Here are my PC specs:
OS: Windows 8 64 bits
MOBO: AS Rock X79 EXTREME6/GB
Graphics Card: XFX Double D AMD Radeon HD 7870 Black Edition OC 2GB GDDR5
CPU: Intel i7-4820K 3.70GHz
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i
RAM: G.Skill 16GB DDR3 2133
PSU: Corsair AX860i Power Supply
SSD: Corsair Force Series GS Red 128GB 2.5-Inch (6Gb/s)
HDD: 1 TB Western Digital

What do you guys think could be the problem? Feel free to ask me questions and leave me any suggestions please :)
Thanks!

This is most likely a motherboard issue. Before mentioning the 5 short beeps i would have thought PSU or mobo but the short beeps kind io point into the mobo direction.

What you should do is try another PSU on your mobo. See if its stable. This is the simplest way to do things as testing the PSU on a different system won't prove anything in this case.

Haha thanks, I gotta see where I can find someone to loan me another PSU for a bit I guess!
