Can the R9 280 crossfire with the HD 7950?

I was wondering if an R9 280 and an HD 7950 can crossfire. I'm pretty they're both Tahiti chipsets, so they should be able to crossfire, right? Also, can a Corsiar CX600M PSU run both GPU's in crossfire with a Pentium G3258 overclocked to 4.3GHz?

The definitive answer is, yes, you can.

AMD offers a great deal more diversity when it comes to dual card set-ups. You can crossfire an R9-280 with another R9-280/280X/7950/7970

Also, about a 750-800W quality power supply would be sufficient.

I have personally crossfired a 7950 with a 280 successfully.

im trying to do this now with 2x sapphire cards 79750 r9 280. BUT in radeon setting the crossfire option is not showing in global settings?? Also in radeon settings system it shows my 7900 series as (disabled) and the r9 200 series (primary)
control panel device manager shows both fine.

Any help would be great as taken 2 days just to get radeon setting to work at all. also radeon setting is 16.7.2 i had 16.1.* working and could only see crossfire options in each game profile. Now i can't see them any where.
