I am having issues with a dell inspiron 2330 all in one. My uncle recently had to fix his CMOS battery in his 2330. It is a windows 8 operating system he does not have the windows CD that he can find yet. We fixed the bios information to match the system defaults and I have looked at countless amounts of data online with nothing working. Windows will not boot it says no bootable device and just a big headache.

BIGGEST problem is he is 386 miles away I am doing this by telephone

any information would be GREAT thanks.

Solution
The system is not finding the HDD with windows on it. Check in the bios to see that the HDD is present and recognized. Set the boot order to include the HDD. Usually for this type of system you would have the cd/dvd drive as the first then the HDD second. Also check to see that the power and data cables to the HDD are securely in place.
