Selling my Desktop

Hi,

I was looking to sell my desktop on Ebay. All my personal files are off the PC - what else do I need to do to make sure all my personal info is wiped off? Will reformatting do the trick?

a long time ago i read something about that.
i think they adviced reformatting your drive 3 times in a row to make sure everything is gone.

If you only did it once some files don't get erased.

Not sure if it still applies, i must have read that +5 years ago.

Yes it would include Win 8. I have no disks for it - it's in the partition on the hd. I planned on doing a factory reset on it. I just want to make sure ALL my personal information is gone from the drive.

From what I been reading online most people suggest a program called DBAN. That erases everything I don't have a copy of win8 as i said its partitioned in the drive so I would lose everything including the OS.
