I need to check the OC limits of the GPU (in title) but can't go ahead until I find answers to the below queries:

1. Is it true that I only need to start incrementing the mem clock after finding a stable core clock?

2. The maximum voltage Asus 780 DCUII's stock bios allows is 1.212. Any special considerations before doing so other than temperatures?

3. A custom bios shall let me increment the voltage above 1.212 and will increase the temp limit to 95C. Does this mean the card cannot go above 80C at 1.212v?

4. Will increasing voltage impact only core clock, or mem clock too?

5. I'm sure I read somewhere that Precision X is better for OC'ing Kepler GPUs due to something something something. Is that correct? Because I prefer Afterburner.

Really appreciate any help/guidance.

Thanks very much.

Solution
1. You can increase the mem clock whenever you want.

2. Not really - temps and bsods

3. It means that it shouldn't go above 95C (or it'll shut down)

4. The voltage is core voltage. Doesn't affect mem clcok.

5. Nah - I prefer Afterburner too.

Thank you so much man. You reply was very clear and simple, except one thing.

Can 1.212v take the card above 80C? Or only the values above (with custom bios) could do that? I'm verifying this to ensure whether the stock highest voltage setting will keep within safe temperatures.

And what if GPU-Z is showing "IDLE" VRM temps as Min= -109C and Max= 208C at default 1.175v? Are these really correct readings? And Is it safe to increase the voltage to 1.212 in these circumstances?

I did. And I thought only a custom bios could break the 80C barrier and take the limit to 95C. I was unaware of this particular piece that you mentioned.

So thanks very much again my friend. I'll start OC'ing in small increments and request more guidance in a separate thread.
